it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Young men: your strength (not necessarily physically) is your glory (Proverbs 20:29)
The elderly: your gray hairs are your glory (Proverbs 20:29)
About both men and women:
God loves the worst sinner/lawbreaker/murderer as much as the most obedient, loving person in the world;
He gives no preferential treatment to any individual (Romans 2:11)
If someone hurts you, wrongs you, trespasses against you, etc., leave revenge up to God and repay evil with kindness--it'll come back to haunt your accuser (Romans 12:19-20)
Rejoyce and be happy when you're persecuted for Christ's sake--you will be rewarded (Matthew 5:11-12)
You should "tithe": give the first 10% of your gross income to God (Malachi 3:10)
Of all of God's commandments, #1 is to love Him, #2 is to love your neighbor (everyone else in the world) like yourself (Matthew 22:37-39)

You represent God and Christianity (if saved) when watched by others; therefore, others will judge not only you but all Christians and God by your attitude
Don't take vows or swear to do something--just a simple "yes" or "no" is good enough (Matthew 5:34-37)
Those who habitually drink liquor find sorrow, contention and fights/arguments for no good reason (Proverbs 23:29-30)
Be slow to speak--a reckless tongue can do more damage than "weapons of mass destruction" (Proverbs 12:18)
MATURING
Physical training and looking like Mr. Universe mean little in life vs. being obedient to God

The Bible is like a foreign language--people claim to read and understand the words but they cannot understand until they become
saved (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
The world looks at loss and disaster with the "why me?" attitude; You should look at it as a patience-builder and character/integrity-tester (Romans 5:3)
The LOVE of money--not money itself--is the "root of all evil." (1 Timothy 6:10)
A good name and reputation are more valuable than money and being rich (Proverbs 22:1)
Don't work for the sole purpose of becoming rich; as the stock market has shown, riches can instantly "fly away" (Proverbs 23:4-5)
Government and Authority
People elected to positions of authority (city/state/Federal/President/CEO/etc.) are there because it's God
purpose for them to be there--whether done democratically or otherwise (Daniel 2:21)
Obey the rules/ordinances of man, for the LORD's sake (1 Peter 2:13-14)
Whether or not you voted for him/her, pray for all in authority--from Presidents; to law enforcement; to your supervisor (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
God chooses the decisions that Presidents and leaders make (Proverbs 21:1)
Do not trust in the might of government and military numerical superiority--but fear God for deliverance (Psalm 20:9) (Psalm 33:16-18)
Promotion/appointments to positions and power is given by God, through man (Psalm 75:6-7)
Family and Parenthood
Children require physical punishment for effective correction and permanent attitude adjustment (Proverbs 22:15)
Punishing/correcting your children shows your love and concern for their growth (Proverbs 3:12)
Husbands love their wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25)
Did not make a promise to my child that I cannot keep (Ecclesiastes 5:5)

Contrary to other religions, the One, True religion says there is a time for dancing (Ecclesiastes 3:4)
While the majority of the world thinks they're "good enough to get into Heaven," When Christ returns,
only "few" in the world will be saved (Luke 13:23-25)
God proved this when He saved only eight people in the world--Noah and his family, in the Ark--during the world flood in 2349 BC (1 Peter 3:20)

Christian Characteristics: What it means to be a CHRISTian
A Christian's soul is SAVED by God simply by having faith in Christ--not my doing works/jobs/tasks/sacraments/etc. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
God perfers the simple man, open-minded to the Bible, over men with multiple degrees of education who believe they're wise enough to understand (Matthew 11:25)
The weak and quiet--not the strong--shall "inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5)
In times of personal disaster and loss (which Born Again Christians are not exempt from),
you always have an overall sense of cheer because Jesus has already "overcome the world" and won the FINAL battle (John 16:33)

Purpose of the Bible: provide life's instruction manual, correction, and dispel man's lies and false doctrine in order for you to live

The Future: Signs of the "end times"
No man knows or can predict the return ("Second Coming") of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:36)
Those who kill in God's Name think they're doing God's work but they're not--nor do they know God (John 16:2-3)
Jesus said to his disciples that in the last days, "Brothers and sisters will betray one another and have each other put to death. Parents will betray their own children, and children will turn against their parents and have them killed." (Acts 4:10-12)
In the conquering of Israel by the Kingdom of Edom and "invaders" in 586 B.C., the book of Obadiah (written 6th Century B.C.) prophecied the return of Israel to its land, to include defining its boundaries, for which Israel declared statehood on May 14, 1948 -- a almost 2,534-year prophecy!
