Christian Spiritual Growth Resources to take the Gospel to a Dark and Dying World that Has It Not

WELCOME!

This non-denominational Christian-based website that I began almost 30 years ago is a labor of my God-given programming talent used in obedience of Jesus' "Great Commission" charge. ITS PURPOSE is to help you grow spiritually in order to take the Gospel and eternal salvation to those who have it not. IT'S FUNCTIONALLY UNIQUE from almost all other religious websites for having: 1) decades of bulletized and categorized sermons integrated into my hand-built search engine and lexicon of definitions so you don't have to search dictionaries; 2) real-time prayer submission "box"; 3) motorcycle ministry component based on my Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) membership since October 2000; 4) proved truths of the Bible through Scripture linked to world events, to the present day; and 5) my testimony of divine events in my life that defy scientific explanation. May it be a blessing, inspiration, and great tool for your use in order to further His Kingdom! --Brother CHarley

Start with the basics by preparing yourself first

Christian growth and soul-winning takes more than simply reading the Bible and going to church. You have to read Scripture for yourself, understand it, compare it with related verses, then put that truth into practice. Churchsermon.org offers sermons and Bible resources that help new and veteran believers build a stronger foundation and speak to those who don't believe or understand in a way that is plain-speak, without talking down to them. Of all the links to pages on the left column, the four colored links in the middle form the core of this website.

First consider how you can be most effective: what God-given talents do you have that you love and can use to serve Christ at the same time? For me, it's computers since 1980 and motorcycle riding since 1999. Once you hone your applied talents, visit communities that share your interests and also be ready to speak to those communities who do not.

Then learn to Share the Gospel

The real test of whether one is a Christian is by helping their church pastor do their job by taking the Gospel and eternal salvation message outside their church, as being a true Christian doesn't begin and end when the pastor's sermon does. Soul-winning begins with a fundamental understanding of the Gospel -- a Christian should be able to explain why Jesus died, why His resurrection matters, what repentance and faith mean, and how a person can receive salvation through Christ. If they are ready to rededicate themself to God or receive His salvation, you have to be ready to lead them in (with them repeating) the prayer of salvation (which is OK to read off a card). Heaven's currency is love and that's what required of you and I to do our part to reap the harvest of lost souls to Heaven.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Why is sharing the Gospel important?
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and teach others, known as "The Great Commission." This also applies to every Christian believer and it's why I created this website. Sharing the Gospel gives people an opportunity to hear about salvation through Christ. Without someone sharing that message, many would have no way of learning the truth of the Gospel and how it can save them.

Is there a cost to access the sermons and resources on Churchsermon.org?
No. I believe that spiritual nourishment should be accessible to everyone. All the sermons, theological articles, and ministry guides hosted on my site are provided free of charge and not copyrighted. I want to support your spiritual walk and growth without financial barriers, so I fund everything.

What should I study first?
Begin with my top-left page "Not 100% sure about Heaven?" then my sermon sub-set on Basics/Considering Christianity. After, consider the pages called "The Facts of Life" and "In the news..."

How can I use sermons for personal Bible study?
Choose a sermon that addresses a question or biblical subject you want to understand. Read the referenced passages yourself and compare the teaching with Scripture. The beauty of the sermon layout on this website is each is categorized by topic and I built a search engine if you seek specific keywords and names!

How often should I study the Bible?
Read at least a couple chapters from the Old and New Testaments daily to build a lasting habit and become more familiar with Scripture. Consistency matters more than length, so a realistic daily rhythm will serve you better than occasional long sessions. I recommend Pastor John C. Hagee's "The Life Plan Study Bible" because it includes "Life Lessons" that interpret certain sections of Scripture and a calendar on what passages to read, daily, to read through your Bible in a year (annually).

What should I do when I don't understand a Bible passage?
Hebrews 10:25 commands we should regularly gather ourselves together to lift up and encourage one another. To that end, joining a church, its mens'/womens' fellowship group, and attending group Bible studies will connect you with the right church leaders and congregation friends who may have personal experiences in explaining a passage you don't understand.

Can new Christians learn soul winning?
Yes. A new Christian can begin learning how to share the Gospel by understanding the message of salvation and studying how Scripture presents it. See my left-side pages "Soul-winning Course" and "Motorcycle Ministry." If you're still not sure, review my message on how God uses the weak and humble to do great and mighty miracles.

How can I prepare for witnessing?
Know the Gospel, study key passages, practice explaining biblical truths in your own words (meaning try to avoid citing Bible verses), listen carefully to questions, and look for natural opportunities to speak with others. For guidance, review my testimony from the left-side page "Mission and Vision" then move on to the pages "Soul-winning Course" and "Motorcycle Ministry."
